Credit Bureau Reporting

As we all know credit reporting information is sensitive data. The issues of accuracy and completeness of information and fairness to consumers are not just a concern of the consumer reporting agencies; credit grantor participation is also required.

With the above in mind A.L.S. has created the ability for you to gather the necessary credit bureau information in the industry standard “Metro 2 Format”. This data format is created using all the guidelines outlined in the Credit Reporting Resource Guide available to you through your credit reporting agency.

We have made many modifications to our system to be sure we can help you report to your credit reporting agency accurately. Our process creates output files that you will send to the bureaus on a regular basis. You can update end of term deficiencies at anytime or exclude accounts from reporting. All Joint and Co-makers are reported as is required by the credit reporting agencies.

The contents of these files are maintained on your system for up to 7 years from their original creation. You will be able to review the exact status of a customer at the time they were reported and know exactly how they were reported. Each time you generate a submission file two copies of the data are saved on your system. The first one is the file you send to your credit reporting agency. The second file is a comma-delimited (CSV) file that can be easily read and reviewed by using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel®.

Reporting your account information correctly and timely in the “Metro 2 Format” greatly benefits you the credit grantor, the consumer reporting agencies, and your customer. With the added ability of reviewing the submitted information at any time you will be able to quickly answer consumer questions related to their credit reports.
